Aurora College Opportunity Classes
At Lowesdale Public School, students who are identified as having high potential and who are gifted have the opportunity in Year 4 to apply for Aurora College online classes in Years 5 and 6.
Aurora College provides online opportunity classes for rural and remote students through the NSW Department of Education. Students remain enrolled at their local host public school and participate in Aurora College’s online lessons in science, technology, and mathematics.
Each year, Aurora College holds two residential camps, where students:
- take part in practical, face-to-face lessons
- enjoy specialist excursions, and
- have valuable opportunities to meet and socialise with their classmates.
